Analía Rego is a teacher of Argentine guitar and a concert guitarist. Her impeccable technique and depth of expression earned her acclaim as one of the most renowned solo performers of the tango. Endowed with a "romantic and charismatic" artistic personality, in her style she combines the classical guitar school and the tradition of the popular Argentine guitar.

Rego is intensely active as a teacher and concert performer in Argentina, and also goes on frequent international tours (United States, Chile, Mexico, Finland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Britain, Spain, Italy and Sweden). She has been invited to prestigious international festivals, among which the following are worth mentioning: several recitals at Guitars of the World (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Sixth International Regino Sáinz de la Maza Week (Burgos, Spain), Frutillar Music Weeks (Chile), "Miguel Llobet" International Guitar Competition (Barcelona, Spain), the Hamburger Gitarrenfestival (Hamburg, Germany), Guitars in the Fall (DF, Toluca and Morelia, Mexico), Petrer Music Festival (Spain), Uppsala Internationella Gitarrfestival, Sundsvall Guitar Festival (Sweden), etc.

As a classical guitar performer, her esthetic quest is focused on the 19th century repertoire. Since 2010, Rego has formed duets of Classical- Romantic instruments with flute player Gabriela Galván, with whom she has given concerts in Argentina, Spain and Italy.

Rego studied under the direction of Irma Costanzo and Aníbal Arias, and participated in master classes by Abel Carlevaro, Eduardo Isaac and David Russell. She holds a degree in Music (UNLa) and teaches at the School of Popular Music in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. She has taught tango guitar courses during her tours of different cities in Europe as well as in her country.

She has offered seminars and conferences on the history of the tango and the role played by the guitar in it. In her capacity as a researcher, Rego has collaborated with the US publisher Editions Orphée, writing a prologue to a compilation of original and transcribed pieces for solo guitar, "More Tangos Milongas Habaneras for Guitar."
